A small but surprising garden that literally hangs over the Principality of Monaco and which includes one of the best collections of cactus and succulent plants in Europe.
Laid out along an almost vertical cliff, the garden is traversed by a network of trails, walkways and stairs leading from the highest to the lowest parts of the garden.
Although Prince Albert I began to introduce plants at the beginning of the XX century, the garden was opened to the public in 1933. Within the same location, visitors are also able to visit the Observatory Grotto and the Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology.
The garden is well-maintained and offers wonderful views over the French and Italian Rivieras.
