Avenue des Belges. 83820 Le Rayol.
Managed by Asociación du Domaine du Rayol (ADORA), this garden has been owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral since 1989, when it was saved from development speculation. From the entrance, visitors are able to verify the complete involvement in this fight and, throughout their visit, to find different exhibitions related to the environment and sustainability.
On the shores of the Mediterranean, this garden stands out for its seamless integration into the landscape and the inclusion of botanical elements from the Canary Islands, California, Australia, South Africa, Chile, New Zealand and other regions around the world which enjoy a Mediterranean climate.
In general, maintenance is carried out without the use of chemicals in the treatment of any pests or diseases that may appear: all the plants present are fully compatible with the local climate and soil.
It is the perfect place for a stroll, and it is sometimes difficult to distinguish which plants are exotic and which are indigenous.
