This project was a commercial failure, -only two of the envisaged 60 homes were built but, fortunately for us, Gaudí himself directed the work (1900-1912), and today we are able to enjoy a garden where the grandeur of nature and the beauty of the plants is imitated and even transcended by its architectural components.
It was declared a Heritage for Humanity by UNESCO in 1984, and the Municipality of Parks & Gardens in Barcelona takes care of its conservation.
